Now I think I know and remember when...

This is odd or may be not? Just came to my memories... at the Tour of the Battenkill, some where in between Battenville and Greewich




on a road, there were a couple chopped up road edges and debris on the road -- cruising along at some good speed in the front pack -- I all sudden heard a pretty loud "BANG!!" -- but did not noticed anything beyond this and forgot about it. I can impossibly say for sure, but I am not aware of anything else what possibly could have caused this:

on the left leg of the fork.

Need to figure out a good fix.
